   Email Problem Solved:  There was a technical problem between the Standard and Premium mail servers that was not allowing email transfer.  Specifically the Standard accounts (agapeinternet.com and agapemail.com) could not send email to the Premium accounts (agapemail.net, mailagape.com, or any custom domains hosted with us).  As of Friday 4/27 this problem should have been solved, and we do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Reminder of Billing Procedures: Starting in April, if your account is past due you will be receiving a paper statement in the mail.  There will be a $2.99 fee added to your account to cover the cost of mailing the statement.  If you are not sure of the status of your account, please do contact us.

   Agape SafeGuard Progress Report: The Agape Safeguard policy server is up and running!  We are not setting up accounts yet, please watch for the May newsletter for further instructions.  We are now in the process of becoming familiar with the capabilities and developing various configurations in which the filter will be used.  At present this is what the service is looking like:
  The Agape SafeGuard filter will have the following features:

• Works with virtually any internet access (DSL, Wireless, cable, etc.)

• Or can be combined into a dialup package from Agape.

• Based on a Whitelist concept where only sites that have been categorized will be viewable

• Can be locked down to your own unique list of websites blocking out all other sites

• Can set time based schedule

• Web based control panel, you can administrate your filter from anywhere in the world

• Can be configured with multiple, password protected profiles (i.e. Parents, Children, Teens, etc.)

• Can be installed on up to 3 computers

   While the above features can for the most part be found with other filters, the Agape Safeguard filter does not stop there.  We are offering the ability to have the Agape staff administrate the filter for you, whether you are wanting to protect yourself, from yourself or you just want to leave the setup to someone else and have one less thing to worry about.  Cost is an additional $25.99 to initiate Agape administration.  This fee includes 5 free change requests.  After you have used the 5, it will cost $2.99 per change request to an account under Agape administration.
   We also are planning to have an optional accountability service.  This would allow the Agape Staff to use the reporting capability of the filter to track internet usage and make sure that it is being used in the manner requested by the account holder. 
   With the nature of the internet and the complexity of today's technology, we recognize that no filter (including ours) is an across-the-board solution.  We do not want the Agape SafeGuard to replace the personal accountability that is vital to inter-family relationships. 
   Having said that, please consider this analogy: Lets suppose that you have drinking water piped to your house that you knew contained harmful contaminates.  Would you leave it unfiltered because there is no filter available that absolutely guarantees 100% peace of mind?  Or would you find the best filter available and then take special care that the filter is installed correctly, working properly, and those under your care are using the filtered source and not some other unfiltered source that they may have available to them?
   We hope that our filter can be a useful tool in your quest to provide a safe environment for you and those under your care.
